Books to Read:
The Developing Mind (3rd edition) - Daniel J. Siegel, M.D.
I had the privilege and opportunity to work closely with Dr. Siegel during the 3rd edition of this book. The Developing Mind is one of the most important books within Interpersonal Neurobiology, presenting a revolutionary perspective on how to use the intersection of science and contemplative wisdom to facilitate generative action towards a more compassionate, embracing world. This is an absolute must-read.
The Power Paradox - Dacher Keltner, PHD
I had the honor of working with Dr. Keltner, who’s person and work continues to inspire and amaze me. Through his own research and evolutionary psychology, Dr. Keltner explains how power tends to corrupt human behavior, and how and why to avoid this for the greater good.
Man’s Search For Meaning - Viktor Frankl
A must-read! Through researching the holocaust as a jew in a concentration camp himself during World War 2, he discovers, that the essence of being human, is to be of benefit to others. To be needed, and to find a meaning in your life by serving something that is bigger than yourself.
